JEE Main 30th January 2023 Question Paper Analysis

Day 5 – 30th January 2023 Shift 1 was conducted from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, while the second shift was from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. BE/BTech aspirants appeared for JEE Main Paper 1 today.

The JEE Main question paper had 90 questions which had to be completed in 90 minutes. Students will earn 4 marks for every correct answer, while 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer due to negative marking. Leaving a question unattempted will not lead to the deduction of marks. The official JEE Main 2023 Session 1 Answer Key will soon be available once the exam concludes.

Overall: Maths was trickier and lengthy. The easier Chemistry section balanced it. Physics was a well-balanced section with numerical questions that were easy.  

2nd shift, 30th January 2023: Major Highlights

  • The paper was easier in comparison to 2022.
  • There were formula-based questions in both Chemistry and Physics, while Mathematics was lengthy and calculation-based.
  • Compared to shift 1, Chemistry was tougher, Maths was easy, and Physics was the same.
  • Overall, the paper was balanced and a bit lengthy compared to the previous shifts.
