Here is a detailed analysis of the JEE Main 1st February 2023 Shift 1 and 2 questions paper.

The JEE Main 2023 Session 1 exam began on 24th January and reached its final day, Day 7, on 1st February 2023. The first shift, conducted from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, was followed by the second shift, held from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Aspirants pursuing BE/BTech appeared for JEE Main Paper 1.
Question papers for both shifts consisted of 90 questions each, and according to NTA guidelines, students had 90 minutes to complete the exam. Correct answers will be awarded 4 marks, while incorrect answers will have a 1-mark deduction due to negative marking. No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.
The official JEE Main 2023 Session 1 Answer Key will be released after the exam ends.

1st Shift, 1st February 2023: Major Highlights
JEE candidates who appeared for the 1st February Shift 1 exam summarised the question paper as follows:
- Overall, the paper was moderately difficult.
- Maths was the toughest to attempt out of the three.
- Chemistry was the easiest out of the three.
- Class XI syllabus dominated the paper. Questions were mostly NCERT-based.
- 2 to 3 questions were repeated from the previous year’s papers.
