CBSE Board Exam 2020 Centres to Be Shifted To Present Location of Students

Due to the COVID-19 lockdown and the frequent postponement of the CBSE Board Exam 2020, lot of students have travelled to their hometowns. However, those students are still registered with the centres that they moved away from because of the lockdown. CBSE has now given those students a chance to change their centres to their present location and write the exam. This a welcome move as many students are away in different parts of the nation and travelling is both risky and difficult during these times.

CBSE Secretary Anurag Tripathi has released a press note, stating "It has come to notice due to closure of schools because of the spread of Covid-19 and lockdown, some students are now not present at the station from where they were appearing in the examination prior to postponement of the exams, and it would be difficult for them to appear in the scheduled examination from their existing examination centre. Keeping in view the problem of the candidates, who have shifted to other districts than the district of their examination centre. CBSE has decided to shift their examination centre to their present district. Such candidates are informed that they should remain in touch with their own schools and as soon as CBSE issues notification, they are advised to take the suggested action.”

This is the first time ever that the CBSE had to make so many changes to the board exam because of a Pandemic. The board has been reiterating how the health of the candidates comes first and then the exams. CBSE has also clarified that such adjustments and changes are only applicable for the pandemic period and won’t become a norm.

Since this news brings ease to a lot students who are in different locations, we urge you to start revising and concentrate on the upcoming exam. If you are need of any study material or books, you can always refer to TopperLearning.
