The pending exams of CBSE Class 10 (North-East Delhi) and CBSE Class 12 will be held in the respective schools of the students and not in the examination centres. Board officials have informed, “Students will appear for the exams in their own schools and not external test centres to ensure minimum travel for them. Schools will be responsible for ensuring social distancing norms are followed and students will be required to carry their own sanitiser bottles and cover their face with mask”.

However, to conduct the examinations the ministry has set some rules. Exams cannot be conducted in containment zones, there has to be thermal scanning and sanitisers present at all centres, not to forget the masks that has to be worn by both students and teachers.

This news was also shared by HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on Tuesday evening during the DD News live telecast. HRD has also revealed that they plan on declaring the results of both the exams by July end.

Universities and schools across the nation have been shut since March due to COVID-19. This lockdown not only affected the regular functioning of these areas but also postponed the exams. Ever since the lockdown was announced, exams were postponed multiple times, until recently when the final dates were out. The board had announced that it will only conduct pending exams in 29 subjects which are important for promotion and admission to higher educational institutions.

The schedule for other important exams like JEE and NEET were also revealed and they too will be held in July 2020.

Now that, the exams dates are out and will be held soon, students can start their rigorous revision.
