Please tell me about parallel plate capacitor. Can it be connected to a battery? If yes,how?

Parallel plate capacitor comprises of two flat metallic parallel plates separates by very small distance. The capacitance is given by C = e0A/d where A is the cross sectional area of the plate, which d is the distance between 2 plates.
Yes, a parallel plate capacitor can be connected to a battery using electrical wires. Furthermore, unlike other devices, a capacitor can be connected to a battery in any orientation.
