what is the difference between combustion and oxidation?

In combustion a substance is burnt in the presence of oxygen. Thus oxide of the substance is produced.
But in oxidation ann element losse its electrons.ex
Zn + CuSO4-------------> ZnSO4 + Cu
In the above reaction zinc got oxidised it losses its electrons to sulphate ion.
