If person A reaches the 2nd floor Of a shopping mall by lift and Person B reaches the same floor by stairs and both their masses are same.
Is work done by person B is greater than Person A against gravitational force.Justify your answer

Expert Answer
Person-A reaching first floor by lift . hence work done by person-A is zero .
Person-B is reaching first floor by climbing on stairs .
Hence work done by person-B is ( mgh) > 0 , where m is mass , g is acceleration due to gravity
and h is height of first floor .
