A car of mass 2 kg is moving with speed of 10m/s. Calculate work done to stop it ?

By work-energy theorem , workdone on a body is equal to change in kietic energy.
If the car of mass 2 kg ( toy car ! ) moving with speed 10 m/s , then its kinetic enrgy K is given as
K = (1/2) m v2 = (1/2) × 2 × 10 × 10 = 100 J
If the car is to be stopped , then change in kinetic energy = 100 J
hence, workdone to stop the car = 100 J
