Expert Answer
By work-energy theorem , workdone on a body is equal to change in kietic energy.

If the car of mass 2 kg ( toy car ! ) moving with speed 10 m/s , then its kinetic enrgy K is given as

K = (1/2) m v2 = (1/2) × 2 × 10 × 10 = 100 J

If the car is to be stopped , then change in kinetic energy = 100 J

hence, workdone to stop the car = 100 J
