CBSE Class 9 Answered
calculate the amount of work required to stop a car of 1000kg moving with speed of 72km/h
Asked by sadhanaasadhanaa67 | 04 Feb, 2024, 12:27: PM
72 km/hr = 72 × (5/18) m/s = 20 m/s
Let m be mass and v be velocity of car.
Kinetic energy = (1/2) m v2 = 0.5 × 1000 × 20 × 20 = 2 × 105 J
Work done to stop the vehicle = Kinetic energy of vehicle.
Work done to stop the vehicle = 2 × 105 J
