I often get confused about what oxidation states do ferric, ferrous denote? is there a way to remember them? please tell me what are the names of compounds: NO, NO2, NO3, NO4, NO5? WHAT IS THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE OXIDATION STATE? does hybridisation take place only when a species is exposed to another species with which it has a tendency to react? does hybridisation affect oxidation state?
