What is the difference between an electron and beta particle? and what about a positron and a proton??

Expert Answer:
Electron and negative beeta particle are identical in mass and charge.Positive beeta particle(positron) has same mass as electron but charge +e. Photon is a neutral particle and we can not define the mass of photon as well.
