so weight of 20 gm of mercury tube =Bouyant force= pi (2/100)2xl x1xg.....where l=length of tube
20g=pi (2/100)2xl x1xg
l can be found from here.
 
.If tube is depressed veetically through a small distance and then released. determine the period of oscillation=2pi?l/g...putting value of l can find out T.
