1 over R subscript P equals space 1 over R subscript 1 plus 1 over R subscript 2 space equals space 1 over 1 plus 1 over 106 equals space 107 over 106 equals 1.009 capital omega 
Thus,equivalent resistance in the above case is 1.009 Ω 
 
b) 1Ω and 103Ω and 106Ω 
1 over R subscript P equals 1 over R subscript 1 plus 1 over R subscript 2 plus 1 over R subscript 3
equals space 1 over 1 plus 1 over 103 plus 1 over 106 equals 104 over 103 plus 1 over 106 equals 207 over 10918 capital omega equals 0.018 capital omega
