Nichrome wire of length L and radius R has resistance 10 ohm.How would the resistance of the wire change when:
only diameter of the wire is doubled?Justify

Resistance of wire is inversely proportional to area.
If diameter is doubled, then area is doubled .
If area is doubeled , then resistance becomes one-fourth of initial value.
Hence , new resistance after doubling the diameter of wire = ( 10/4 )Ω = 2.5 Ω
