In an AC circuit containing an Inductor, the current Im lags behind the Vm by 90 degrees. but why is it told by the exam expert about a trick to remember it that ELI- voltage lags behind current in an AC circuit with an inductor?

In an AC circuit containing inductor,
 
Current lags the potential difference by 90º.
 
This is the only correct answer.
