Expert Answer
where is angle between Voltage and current .
XC = 1/Cω is capacitve reactance and XL = Lω is inductive reactance.
C is capacitance in the circuit , L is inductance in the circuit and ω is angular frequency of alternating voltage.
If voltage v = vm sin(ωt) , then current i = im sin(ωt + Φ )
If XC > XL , then > 0 , i.e., current leads voltage by angle .
If XC , XL , then < 0 , i.e., current lags behind voltage by angle .
