If a pendulum clock is making more vibrations per day so that it shows more time than the actual time then which of its part needs to be altered and how?

We need to alter the the pendulum such that it makes less vibrations per day, i.e. its time period sould increase.
Time period is directly proportional to the square of the length of the pendulum. So, the length of the pendulum should increase in order to increase the time period.
