The given line is 24x 5y + 23 = 0              ....(i)

Slope of line (i) = Slope of parallel line = The line passing through (3, -5) and parallel to 24x 5y + 23 = 0 is:
y + 5   = (x 3)

=  5 (y + 5) = 24 (x 3)

=   5y + 25 = 24x 72

=   24x 5y 72 25 = 0

=   24x 5y 97 = 0
