Why is the name so, cubical close packing?

It is called cubical close packing because of the shape of the cubic crystalline structure obtained like in case of metals copper, silver etc.
 
Similarly, hcp arrangement is called hexagonal because of the hexagonal arrangement of the spheres liek in case of zinc.
