what is the difference between center of mass and center of gravity

Dear student
Centre of gravity is the point through which the weight of the body acts. It is the point where the whole of mass of a bodyb may be supposed to be concentrated whereas centre of mass for any system is the point at which the whole of the mass of the body (system) may be considered to be acting for determining the effect of some external force.
