Let the position vector of object at a given instance is and the linear momentum is as shown in figure .
Let θ be the acute angle between position vector and momentum vector.
Then angular momentum = =
Minimum magnitude of angular momentum is 0 when θ = 0
Minimum magnitude of angular momentum is 1 when θ = π/2
