there are 2 rooms a and b.if 10 students are transferred from a to b,then the number of students in each room is same.but if 20 students are send from b to a then the no of students in a is double the number of student in b.find the number of students in each room.

Hello,
Let the initial number of students in room a = A
and no of students in room b = B.
Then according to the statement:
A -10 = B + 10 --- (1)
2 ( B - 20 ) = A + 20 --- (2)
Solving the above two equations we get:
A = 100, B =80
