Expert Answer

Let us multiply above equation by 3 and then we get

from eqn.(3) , we get ( 2/y ) = - (3/x) .................(4)

By substituting (2/y) in eqn.(2) , we get

from above expression, we get x = 6

Then, we get from eqn.(4) ( 2 / y ) = -(1/2) or y = -4
