The quadrilateral is a trapezium as shown above.
From PQR right angled triangle, we get PQ = 12 using pythagoras theorem.
A perpendicular is drawn from R to PS. The length of this perpendicular is equal to PQ= 12
The right angled triangle containing angle X, has base 14 - 5 = 9
Hence tanx = perpendicular / base = 12 / 9 = 4 / 3
