how to put correct number in supposing value of x and y

Always assume  first x = 0 and then compute the value of y and then, assume y = 0 and compute the value of x. Usually, you can get a straight line from 2 points (0,y) and (x,0). If you want to be ultra sure, then you can assume any other value of x based on the other 2 points that you got and then compute the value of y.
