Expert Answer
At each corner a quadrant of circle of radius 1 cm is cut. Hence cut portion at corner is area of circle of radius 1 cm i.e., area is π cm2 .
Another circle of 2 cm diameter is cut . Area of this cut portion π cm2
remaining uncut portion in the square of side 4 cm = (16 - π - π ) cm2 = 9.72 cm2
