Can you please tell me clearly what do u mean by angular momentum? How can a body in translational motion has linear momentum as well as angular momentum?

Angular momentum of a body about a given axis is the product of linear momentum and perpendicular distance of line of action of linear momentum vector from the axis of rotation.
