This relation in fluid dynamics comes out from the bernaulli's equation.
According to tht equation the sum of kinetic velocity , pressure and the potential energy of the flowing fluid remains constant.
i.e. P + 1/2v2 + gH = constant
so as velocity increases the pressure decreases.
