Barium is toxic metal but barium sulphate is used in X-rays?Why?

Barium sulphate is the least toxic salt of barium as it is insoluble in different solvents including water. It is one of the most insoluble salts of sulphate. barium sulphate absorb X-rays more strongly because of its igh molecular weight.
