Apolloneus theorem

Expert Answer
Apolloneus theorem gives a relation between the sides of a triangle to the length of median.
This theorem states that sum of squares of lengths of two sides of triangle equals the
twice sum of square of median and square of half of third side.
In a ΔABC, let AD be the median.
Then by apolloneus theorem, AB2 + AC2 = 2 [ AD2 + ( BC/2)2 ]
