Expert Answer
1) A short is a name given to a direct connection with wire between two points. Since there is a direct connection between A and B through the junction F via YFX, it acts as a short.
2) Now, a short is made of a wire which technically speaking does offer some resistance. But, this resistance is very minute as compared to the other resistance connected in the circuit. So, practically we consider a short to offer zero resistance.
3) A short circuit is nothing but a circuit where there is a direct connection between two output points. These points are physically two points, but due to a direct connection, they act as one single point.
