What do you mean by statements (1) wavelength is characteristic (objective)property of colour (2) colour is subjective property of light related to wavelength?

Objective property is related to measurable quantity. We pass the light to an spectrometer and measure its wavelength.
This measured value of wavelength is the objective property.
 
Subjective property is related to the feeling of human by sense. Some humans are colour blinded, for example,
they can not distinguish bluish green color from blue and green color.
 
Blue colour light has wavelength in the range 450 nm to 490 nm. Green color range is 490 nm to 580 nm.
If wavelength of light is around 490±10 nm then it is considered as bluish green.
 
A spectrometer will precisely measure the wavelength of bluish green light. That measured wavelength is objective property of light.
Whereas, some people will say that color is blue, others will say green but original color is bluish green.
Hence this type of human feelings by sense is subjective property that will differ from person to person
