main function of leaf is photosynthesis that requirecarbondioxide from the atmosphere n sunlight

so 1 it has large surface area for maximum absorption of light

2 leaves r arranged at rt angles to b exposed to light

3 it has extensive vein system for rapid transport to n from mesophyl tissue in leaves

4 it has numerous stomata for gaseous exchange

5 it chloroplast concentrated in the upper layers to absorb light quickly

6  leaves r thin to failitate rapid transport

these features of leaves su[pport its function
