A healthy, living person can donate a kidney to a needy person. After donating a kidney, the donor can continue to live a normal, healthy life with one kidney.

Although Haritha has donated a kidney to her father, she can continue her life normally with just one kidney. Her daughter will be perfectly normal with two kidneys. Most women have uncomplicated pregnancies after kidney donation. There are no data that suggest that kidney donation impacts the ability to conceive and their future offspring.
