Possible Events

0+0 = 0   ;  0+1 =1 ;  0+6 = 6;
1+1 = 2  ;   1+6 =7 ;
6+6 = 12;

Hence  different scores are :-  0, 1, 2, 6, 7, 12

Let a,b,c,d,e and f are 6 faces of a dice and markings are given below in a table

  a b c d e f
Dice-1 0 1 1 6 6 1
Dice-2 0 1 1 6 6 1
to get total seven, possible face combinations are  :-
{ b1+d2, b1+e2, c1+d2, c1+e2, d1+b2, d1+c2, d1+f2,  e1+b2, e1+c2, e1+f2, f1+d2, f1+e2 }

In the above event tabulation, b1 means face-b of dice-1, c2 means face-c of dice-2. Similarly others are marked.

As given above,  12 combination out of 36 possible combination gives total 7.

Hence probability of getting 7 = 12/36 = 1/3
