As shown in figure, OP bisects the angle between tangents drawn from P.
Since it is given that angle between tangents at P is 60°, begin mathsize 12px style angle end styleOPT = 30° and begin mathsize 12px style angle end styleTOP = 60° .
In a right triangle, if angles other than right angle are 30° and 60°, sides are in the ratio 1 : √3 : 2 .
Side opposite to right angle is twice of side opposite to 30°.
Hence if circle radius is a, then OP = 2a
