acceleration = (final velocity - initial velocity)/ time = (50-40)/2 = 5 m/s2
 
Force acting on the body = mass×acceleration = 20×5 = 100 N
 
Distance travelled S  is obtained from formula " v2 = u2 + 2aS " , where v and u are initial and final veleocity, a is acceleration
 
Hence distance S = (502 - 402 )/(2×5) = 90 m
 
workdone = force × distance = 100×10 = 1000 J
