Observe the diagram which shows four pendulums suspended from a flexible string tied between fixed support. With respect to the diagram answer the questions that follow:- i) Name the pendulum with maximum frequency and the pendulum with minimum frequency ii) Which pendulum /s will start vibrating if pendulum A is disturbed once and name the vibrations of pendulum A iii) When pendulum D is disturbed once then all the remaining pendulums start vibrating. Name the vibration in each of these pendulums.​

Question (i)
 
frequency f of simple pendulam  :-  begin mathsize 14px style f space equals space fraction numerator 1 over denominator 2 pi end fraction square root of g over l end root end style , hence frequency is inversly proportional to square root of length.
Pendulam-C will have maximum frequency
 
Pendulam-A will have minimum frequency

If Pendula-A starts vibrating , all remaining pendulams B , C and D will be vibrating
 
Vibrations of pendulam-A :- natural vibration

Vibrations of pendulam A, B and C  :- forced vibration
