i have doubt reagrding the d c motor???

A motor is an electrical machine that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy.
 
Principle of DC motor:-
Whenever a current carrying conductor is placed in magnetic field, it experts a mechanical force. The direction of this force is given by Fleming's left hand rule as shown in figure. Magnitude of the force is given by n×B×i×l .
 
Flemings Left Hand rule:-
Let us stretch the index finger, middle finger and thumb of our left hand to be perpendicular to each other. Let the index finger represent the direction of magnetic field. Let the middle finger represent the direction of current. Then the thumb shows the direction of force that coil will experience..
 
Actually in DC motor, many coils are wound on magnetic material and this is known as armature. When armature windings are connected to a DC supply, current set up in windings. Magnetic field provided by electro magnet or permanent magnet. Hence current carrying armature conductor experience a force due to magnetic field as per the principle stated above. Electrical contacts between armature and battery is made with a component known as commutator that is segmented in order to maintain unidirectional torque
