How to prove AE = 1/4AC

Expert Answer
By Tangent-secant theorem, we have, AE×AB = AD2 .................(1)
AB = AC ( given) and AD = (1/2)AC because D is midpoint of AC. Using these conditions, eqn.(1) is written as
AE×AC = (1/4)AC2 or AE = (1/4)AC
