How can three resistors of resistance 2Ω, 3Ω and 6Ω be connected to give a total resistance of (a) 4 Ω (b) 9 Ω?

To get 4Ω, we connect 6Ω and 3Ω in parallel and connect this parallel combination to 2Ω resistor in series as shown in figure.
 
To get 9Ω, we connect 6Ω and 3Ω in series
