ICSE Class 10 Answered
difference between the ohmic resistor or non ohmic resistor

Expert Answer
An Ohmic conductor obeys ohms law. Ohmic conductor has a linear relationship between the current and the voltage as per ohms law.
A good example of ohmic conductor is resistors used in electronic and electrical circuits.
In non-Ohmic conductors, the relationship between voltage and current is not linear and do not obey ohm's law.
Semiconductor diodes and transistors are some of the examples of non-ohmic conductor.
Voltage across diode is constant and independent of current passing through it
