Both type 1 and type 2 are types of diabetes mellitus. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that results in the permanent destruction of insulin producing beta cells of the pancreas. Type 2 Diabetes is a metabolic disorder that is primarily characterized by insulin resistance, relative insulin deficiency and hyperglycemia.

Most people affected by type 1 diabetes can lose weight quickly and dangerously, if not diagnosed in a relatively short amount of time. Type diabetes results in obesity.

Diabetes insipidus  is a condition characterized by excretion of large amounts of severely diluted urine, which cannot be reduced when fluid intake is reduced. It is caused by a deficiency of antidiuretic hormone (ADH) or vasopressin
