Expert Answer
Energy dissipated across a coductor due to current passing through it = ( Electrical power dissipation ) × time
Electrical power dissipation = Electric Potential difference × Current
Let I is current passing through conductor of resistance R.
Electric potential difference = Current × Resistance = I × R
Electrical power dissipation = I × R × I = I2 R
Let t be the time duration of current passing through conductor.
Energy dissipated across a coductor due to current passing through it = I2 R × t
