(1) workdone by both = difference in potential energy = mgh
(workdone is directly proportional to the distance travelled by the object in vertical direction.
Distance travelled in horizontal direction will not contribute to workdone. )
 
(2) muscular force exerted by Rina and Mita is doing positive work.
Gravitational force acting on object is doing negative work
