an effort of 500N  is applied through 0.50m on a machine,whose efficiency is 90%,such that resistance is overcome through 0.04m. calculate the 1)velocity ratio 2)mechanical advantage

velocity ratio = effort-arm-length / load-arm-length = 0.5/0.04 = 12.5
 
mechanical advantage = velocity ratio×efficiency = 12.5×0.9 = 11.25
