answered-by-expert Expert Answer
we have mirror equation, (1/v) + (1/u) = 1/f  .....................(1)

where v is mirror-to-image distance, u is mirror-to-object distance and f is focal length of mirror

magnification m = -v/u =  -v/(-20) = -4  or  v = -80 cm

hence focal lenth of mirror is obtained using eqn.(1),   (1/80)+(1/20) = 1/f  ; we get f = 16 cm

Hence focal length = 16 cm

image distance from mirror = 80 cm
