Heat energy absorbed = Power×time×efficiency = 10000×2.5×60×.5 = 750 kJ ......................................(1)
Heat energy absorbed by Al block to raise the temperature by ΔT = mass×Specific heat×ΔT = 8×0.91×1000×ΔT J ..................(2)
By equating eqn.(1) and (2), we get ΔT = 103 °C
