CBSE Class 10 Answered
you are given "n" resistors of resistance R .these are connected first to get the minimum possible resistance,then connected to get maximum possible resistance .Then the ratio between minimum to maximum is
(A)1/n^2 (1/n square)
(B)1/n
(C)n
(D)n^2 (n square)

Expert Answer
For minimum possible resistance, the resistors are connected in parallel,
1/rp = 1/r + 1/r + .....n times
or rp = r/n
For maximum possible resistance, the resistors are connected in series,
rs = r+r+..... n times
rs = nr
ratio = rp/rs = 1/n2
