VIBGYOR indicates different colours of visible light , i.e. Violet, Indigo, Blue , Green, Yellow, Orange , Red .
 
Light is part of electromagnetic spectrum .
 
Electromagnetic spetrum consists of x-rays, ultra-violet rays, visible light, infrared waves , microwaves and radio waves .
 
All of the above memebers of electromagnetic spectrum are commonly called as electromagnetic waves .
 
All electromagnetic waves travel in vacuum or air with speed 3 × 108 m/s.
 
Frequency and wavelength of individual memeber will vary
